Italian Armor
Based on a suit of half-armor created by Italian artist Pompeo della Cesa in the 16th century. My use of hatched lines and fascination with monochromaticism led me to this subject. The challenge, evoking bright reflections on metal, as well as hints of the richly detailed engraved lines. Printed on cold press 19.5 mil watercolor paper that is 100% cotton rag.
